Cookie Policy
This site sets nothing on your device until you have chosen whether to allow analytics. Before that decision there are no cookies at all.
What happens before you decide
On your first visit a banner asks whether we may measure how the site is used. Until you answer, the only thing stored is nothing: no cookies, no analytics, no third-party requests.
Accept and Reject sit next to each other, the same size, and nothing optional is switched on unless you switch it on. Continuing to scroll is not treated as consent, and there is no way to make the banner go away without a decision — because a dismissed banner is not a choice.
Strictly necessary — no cookies
Two small entries in your browser's own storage keep the site behaving sensibly. Neither is a cookie, neither is sent to us, and neither contains anything that identifies you.
- courslly_consent (local storage)
- Your answer to the banner, the date you gave it and which version of these categories it applied to. Kept until you change it or clear your browser data — it has to outlive the tab, or you would be asked again on every visit.
- courslly_testimonial_dismissed (session storage)
- Records that you closed the video testimonial, so it does not reappear. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
These are exempt from consent: they do nothing but remember choices you made yourself.
Analytics — only if you say yes
Two different tools, on deliberately different footings.
- Vercel Web Analytics — always on, no cookies
- Counts page views and gives us aggregate figures such as which pages are read, which country a visit came from and whether it was a phone or a desktop. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not build a profile or follow you between sites. It is served from our own domain, so no third party is involved. Because it neither stores anything on your device nor identifies you, it needs no consent.
- Google Analytics — off unless you accept
- Gives us a fuller picture: how people move through the site, which pages lead to an enquiry, whether a visit is a return. It sets the cookies below and is operated by Google. No Google script is loaded, no request is made and no cookie is set unless you accept analytics.

These appear only after you accept, and are deleted again the moment you withdraw.

- Distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_FR0JEBMQL8
- Keeps track of the current session for this specific property. Expires after 2 years.
IP addresses are anonymised before Google stores them, and we have not enabled any advertising or remarketing feature: ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are all set to denied.
Changing your mind
Select "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. The same dialog opens, showing what you chose and when.
Switching analytics off deletes the Google cookies immediately rather than leaving them to expire in two years, and stops any further data being sent. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting, which is the point.
Categories we do not use
Two of the four categories you might expect are absent, because nothing on this site needs them: there is no embedded third-party media, and there is no advertising, remarketing or marketing cookie of any kind. If that ever changes, this page and the banner change with it, before the feature goes live.
Server logs are not cookies
Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address and browser type, which is a normal part of serving a website and is not stored on your device. That processing is described in the privacy policy.
